I remember, eight years back when we shifted to Pune from Delhi and asked people around for authentic North Indian food (especially the chaat & chole bhature type stuff), one name thats been unanimously suggested was Cream Centre!
Be it Chennai, Ahmadabad or Vapi, the taste and look of each dish on the menu remains alike in all its 27 outlets. So basically Cream Center is synonymous to GUD food – irrespective of state, city or even the country (now there is one in Dubai too!).
Okey…. so now the latest and good news is that a new Cream Centre has opened near Pune Railway Station (Hotel Woodland, Sadhu Vaswani Chowk to be precise).
Recently a bloggers meet was held in the newly opened Cream Centre. Menu and taste obviously needs no introduction but the new address surely does!
Corporate Chef Mr. Kiran Ravi curate a special menu for us, for the day.
Here is what all we indulged in!
Virgin Margarita, Sunset Drive and Peach Iced Tea.
Cream Centre never goes wrong with their drinks. I absolutely enjoyed my Peach Iced Tea.
In starters we had, the GUD ol’ Onion Rings, Chilli Toast, American Corn Cheese Balls and Nachos.
Dilli Papdi Chat was reeaalllyyyy good. Like really! Quite close to ‘UPSC ki chat’ in Delhi.
Onion Rings – well, I am actually not a real fan of these. So much of apparent oil.
American Corn Cheese Balls and Cheese Toast were as usually delectable.
Paneer Tikka deserves special mention for its taste and freshness of the paneer. Full marks!
Since it was a bloggers meet, the dishes tasted more appetizing amidst chit-chat, laughter and all things FOOD!
Moving on to the main course, if you call it, these were on the platter –
Bambaiya Ragda
Penne Arrabiata Double Baked
Sizzling Paneer Chilli
and the very famous Chana Bhatura (although I did not rate it at par with dilli wale bhatore).
Coming to the most interesting part of any meal – Desserts. We had the ultimate Sizzling Brownie, Fruit Factory and ice creams of various flavors.
I just loved the Culcatta Meetha Paan ice cream – Simply outstanding!
The overload of sweetness may not allow you go beyond few spoons but will surely finish off your meal with a satiated feel.
I couldn’t get a nice picture of this, therefore using one from FoodPorner.
Cream Centre is one place where you can head, whenever in doubt!
Now, apart from being in the Phoenix Mall, Viman Nagar, it is also located in the heart of the city at,

Sadhu Vaswani Chowk,
Near Pune Railway Station,
