30 Day of Being a PediaSure Mommy

It’s been a month since I’ve been using PediaSure for my daughter.

PediaSure for kids, a dietary supplement, promises to help compensate for the missed out nutrition that stems from the many struggles parents have with their children during mealtimes. Classic excuses like – ‘That’s a boring sabzi’, ‘I’m getting late for school’ or ‘I hate spinach’ – no longer worry me.

Ever since PediaSure powder became a regular on my grocery list (you can buy it online here), I became less stressed about my daughter’s food habits.

Her school starts early in the morning; a hearty breakfast can become tough as she is always in a hurry to leave. Before my discovery of PediaSure nutrition, I used to give her a glass of milk with some chocolate syrup for flavor; chocolate, being her all time favorite. Doing so, I was never content, knowing that there was hardly any real nutritional value in that snack.

With PediaSure in our lives, things seem to have changed. Now, with a couple of spoons of Premium Chocolate PediaSure powder in a glass of milk, my heart goes ‘balle balle’ seeing my daughter gulp down her nutritious breakfast and or snack.

Mission Nutrition… Accomplished!

After a month of cheerfully having PediaSure with her milk, it seemed like it was time to mix things up a little and introduce some changes. I know her routine and didn’t want her to start getting bored with the same thing every day. I had to come up with ‘Plan B’. I didn’t want to give up on all that nutrition she was getting through a glass of PediaSure.

I decided to introduce a few more PediaSure recipes to her daily food intake. I already tried rice phirni mixed with PediaSure powder and she seemed to like it. You can check out how to make it here. So I thought it was a sign and it was time to introduce a new PediaSure recipe. I started making plain vanilla custard and before serving it, I mixed in my magical tablespoons of PediaSure powder. It worked! She liked this change too.

Since then I have been alternating between various recipes – milk with PediaSure, custard or kheer mixed with PediaSure or a banana smoothie with vanilla flavored PediaSure powder.

After a month-long journey with PediaSure usage, I have noticed some encouraging changes.

  • Her energy level during her skating class has improved
  • I’ve noticed healthy weight gain
  • Her concentration and attentiveness has improved

I’m back to be being a happy and relaxed me; someone who doesn’t have to run around like crazy tracking my child’s nutrition.
